Clowney had made comments about the Browns being more concerned with individual accolades for Myles Garrett than winning games, which led to him being sent home and made inactive for the final game of the season. However, Clowney expressed respect for his former teammates and said that if there was any bad blood, he wouldn't have signed with the Browns for two years in a row. He clarified that his previous comments were locker room talk that got out and that he never spoke to a reporter about Garrett or his usage.
