The New York Giants benched rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito for Tyrod Taylor for the start of the second half against the Philadelphia Eagles. It was reported to be a coach's decision and DeVito did not appear to be injured. DeVito had completed 9-of-16 passes for 55 yards in the first half, while the Giants trailed 20-3 and had only produced 101 total yards of offense. Taylor was immediately inserted and led the team to a touchdown on their first drive of the second half.
