Matthew Stafford, quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams, will not play in Sunday's game against the Packers due to a thumb injury. Stafford sprained the UCL in his throwing hand during the Rams' Week 8 loss to the Cowboys. He did not practice this week and will have three weeks to heal during the Rams' bye week before returning to action on November 19th against the Seahawks. Brett Rypien will start in Stafford's place, with Dresser Winn as the backup quarterback.
