Retired quarterback Drew Brees revealed that he can only throw left-handed now due to a major shoulder injury he suffered in 2005. Brees, who retired from the NFL in 2021, mentioned that he would still be playing if he could throw with his right arm. He explained that his right arm does not work anymore and that he throws left-handed when playing in the backyard. Brees credited Dr. James Andrews for performing his shoulder repair in 2006, which allowed him to prolong his career. During his 15 seasons with the New Orleans Saints, Brees threw for 68,010 yards and 190 touchdowns, leading the franchise to a Super Bowl championship in 2009.
