Stafford's thumb was hit by defensive tackle Mazi Smith's helmet on a two-point conversion play. He was seen on the sideline wearing a helmet in the second half while backup quarterback Brett Rypien took over the Rams offense. Stafford finished the game with 13 completions on 22 attempts for 162 yards, one touchdown, and one interception, along with a nine-yard carry.
