Jimmy Garoppolo remains in the NFL's concussion protocol after undergoing testing following Monday's loss to the Steelers. Coach Josh McDaniels stated that Brian Hoyer and Aidan O'Connell will both be preparing to start in the event that Garoppolo is unavailable. Garoppolo would be the first choice to start if he is cleared to play.
