The NFL has upheld the regular-season suspension for Pittsburgh Steelers safety Damontae Kazee after his appeal was heard by hearing officer James Thrash. Kazee was suspended for the final three regular-season games after a hard hit on Michael Pittman Jr. that resulted in the Colts receiver entering the concussion protocol. If the Steelers make the playoffs, Kazee would be eligible to rejoin the active roster. Kazee had previously been fined five times this season for unnecessary roughness, and his status as a repeat offender factored into the decision to suspend him. The Steelers will also be without their other starting safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, who is out with a knee injury.
