Cam Akers passed a physical on Thursday, completing the trade between the Vikings and Rams. He will be present at Thursday's practice and will have a chance to get some on-field work with his new team before Sunday's game against the Chargers. It remains to be seen how much Akers will be utilized in the Vikings backfield this weekend, but he may play second fiddle to Alexander Mattison initially. Akers' previous experience working with coach Kevin O'Connell in Los Angeles should benefit him in his transition to Minnesota.
