The Atlanta Falcons are once again making a quarterback switch, going back to Taylor Heinicke to start Sunday against Indianapolis. Falcons coach Arthur Smith didn't want to go on a quarterback carousel this season but talked about the possibility of making a switch. Desmond Ridder made an error at a critical time, throwing an interception in the red zone on Atlanta's final drive. Ridder completed 63.3% of his passes this season for 2,528 yards, 10 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, and 11 fumbles. Heinicke has completed 55.4% of his passes for 498 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception this season. The Falcons are making the change after evaluating everything following their loss to Carolina.
