The Detroit Lions have placed starting defensive tackle Alim McNeill on injured reserve due to a knee sprain. McNeill will miss at least the next four games but could potentially return for the playoffs. In his third season, McNeill has recorded a career-high five sacks and 31 tackles through 12 starts. The Lions have signed veteran defensive tackle Tyson Alualu to the practice squad to help fill the void.
