Seahawks defensive lineman Leonard Williams, who arrived in Seattle earlier this week in a trade from the New York Giants, is not expected to sign an extension during the season. The Seahawks acquired Williams on Monday in exchange for draft picks. Williams is in the final year of his current contract and is scheduled to become a free agent after this season. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll praised Williams as a fantastic football player who can make a difference in games. Williams has 1.5 sacks this season and 39.5 in his career.
